McWacky DVD Wednesday

We've killed the McKevlin's Movie Club! After many, many years of interest and success, it is no longer viable. What this means to you is CHEAP MOVIES! Starting October 5, we're putting all of our "gently used" surf and skate DVD's on sale for the ridiculous price of $5 each. This is IN STORE only and not available ONLINE. The flick selection includes vintage classics, new releases, instructional, big screen offerings, underground films, and much more. There are plenty of titles that are no longer available - anywhere! And, we have hundreds! Every MCWACKY DVD WEDNESDAY we'll replace the ones sold and bring out a fresh crop of films. So, the early bird catches the finest worms. 10AM every Wednesday starting October 5 - see you there.     McKevlin's Website

A Tommy Anderson Celebration

You're invited to attend a Paddle-Out for Tommy Anderson on Sunday, September 11 at 1:45 PM at the Washout, Folly Beach.

Tommy was one of Folly's Finest. He was a member of McKevlin's Surf Team for over 20 years and, in 1980, he was named the East Coast's Master's Champion. That same year he competed in Oahu, Hawaii (one of only two east-coasters) against surfers from all over the U.S. just missing the Finals by one point. He passed at the age of 61 on June 24.

One of his best friends, Caldwell Costa, has organized this Paddle-Out. We hope to see Tommy's friends, family, as well as those in the local surfing community who would like to pay their respects and celebrate the life of a true waterman.
